Memory of Edgware School: Did not appreciate the quality of the school until after I left. An excellent school of it's day much to the quality of some of it's socially minded teachers and the eccentricity of some others. I remember the day a first year found a blackbird with a broken wing. Sensibly took it to the environmental studies teacher. Unfortunately Fred Corlett was of hard Cumbrian farming stock. Much to the surprise of the first former, Fred put the bird out of it's misery in front of a full class, by striking it's head against the edge of the desk.

Notes:Married 19 yrs. Five children 14 - 4 yrs. Four boys one girl. Live in Ash Surrey which is found in the centre of the triangle created by Aldershot Guildford & Farnham.
