School Leaving Year:1955

Memory of Edgware School:I was at the old school and left at 15. I remember Miss Keirl(English)Mr Hedges(Carpentry) and Mr Roeder(Maths). The headmaster was Mr Cook. I had a good time and remember Eric Blindt as a student teacher. My mother worked with his mother and we knew the family well. It is perhaps of note that although I left without any qualifications, I managed to retire from the Home Office as a Senior Executive Officer, so I must have learnt something!! Endeavour was the motto. I have still got a few magazines if anyone is interested.

Notes: I was married at Edgware Parish Church and have 3 children and 3 grand- children. I lived in Malaya and Cyprus while my husband was in the forces. He later served in the Metropolitan Police and we now live in Bromley Kent.
