School Leaving Year:1957

Memory of Edgware School: Being one of the new schools first pupils. The smell of new paint, polish and gleaming floors. My class was all boys 4T (Mr Pugh) Head Master Mr Cook, Miss Roland Head Mistress. I remember Mr Barnes and his side kick Miss Appleby (were they really an item?) That guy and I were born enemies, I wasn't much at football, with all his bullying and shouting I learnt to hate it.... still do. She use to burst into the boys changing room with uncanny timing to catch us all fresh from the shower wearing just our skin.

Remember Mr Judd who kept two slipper bottoms called Little and Big Mo? Or the metal work teacher (name slips my mind) who when talking to the class use to look sky wards all the time... we thought for incoming aircraft.

Notes:Divorced, 3 Children F-23, M-31, M-33. I was dragged down to Somerset in 1957 at 14 and still live here.
